del Sol U15 won 2-0. I thought the game looked closer vs the score.
    RSL U16 won 2-1
Don't know the rest and as of now not posted.

RSL won at u16 (2003) because of an own goal by Del Sol. Del Sol won at all the other age groups but the games were very close. Lot’s of spectators at the games.

According the ussoccerda.com and the game report the U16/17 combined team of Del Sol also lost. RLS U16/17 won 2-1 with Del Sol's only goal coming from an RSL own goal in the 90th minute. The two RSL goals were scored by former Del Sol Players.

del Sol 3 wins Rsl 2 wins?... did Rsl win the first meeting 3-2? I think it’s a good thing both clubs are evenly matched

DelSol won the the 18/19 game 1-0. DelSol had possession 60/40, they moved the ball very well. RSL had a lot more shots on goal..., they had plenty of chances. It was a good rival game. RSL had several 02 and 03 players playing up

That 18/19 team of del Sol is #1 in the SW and actually currently is the best in the DA at that age group. An impressive team.

The RSL 03s had a lot more shots on goals and had a few bounce off goal posts. They were the better team yesterday. Not to say the del Sol team did bad, but in that game I think they were outplayed.

I watched most of the 2005 game. RSL was dominating the 1st half and was up 2-0 and then they flipped the script in the 2nd half. Next thing you know Del Sol tied it up on a nice run by their smallish MF with a nice strike.

    I heard SCDS won 3-2.

    Two completely different halves...

FWIW, I still like the BH 2005 team.... It would be awesome to see these teams play each other.

I saw the 05 game too, well most of it. I read it differently though. I thought DelSol played the better ball in the 1st half but couldn't penetrate the RSL defence and got caught for the first goal and then poor defending for the second, allowing a girl to run from mid, get past some half hearted tackles and score.

Second half was more even, but again I thought DelSol moved it better through the middle. Their first was a PK, fair. The second was a first time shot from way out on the right which looped over the GK (smallish), the third was another shot that the GK should have stopped.

Overall I thought DelSol were probably worth the win, but a draw would have been fair too.

Scores of all the games suggest the clubs are fairly evenly matched which should be good for overall development of lots of girls, not a bad thing at all.

Well we still have half a season to go, but early on everyone was talking dilution. Looking at the DA standings, both clubs are holding their own overall.

So as bad as each other and better than others or as good as each other and better than others … ;)

Seriously, they both played good soccer and both had good players, to my eye at least, for the game I saw … so I'd say as good as and evenly matched, very positive for soccer in the valley.

Quite a few DA and ECNL offers have already gone out. KC's daughter will be playing ECNL next year.

How is that going to help her? Playing up on 03 or 02, those teams/players are not good enough to help her (make her better by being faster, bigger, more technical etc). Those teams are last in both divisions, which means they don't fit the criteria that i mentioned above. Play for the under .500 04 team, again to slow and not good enough to help her. So the argument is play for mom, honestly that is the worst thing that she can do. This is a no win situation for mom or daughter. Either the other players on the team will resent the player because of perceived favoritism of the daughter, or the daughter will eventually resent the mom because of how hard she is on the daughter. Ask Marv Marinovich how it worked out for his kid. I honestly don't see how this is even close to the best thing for the kid, i feel bad for her, as the mom may have put herself before the kid. She may think she is doing what is best for her kid as we all do, but this seems like a bad deal for the daughter and i have seen this play out before. One more thought she is playing against lesser competition in the ECNL.

What do you mean "have already gone out?" What's gone out to whom? And from whom? Excuse my ignorance.

SC Del Sol and Utah Royals/RSL have already sent out formal offers to players within their clubs and players outside of their clubs for DA spots for the next year. I have heard that some ECNL offers have been given to players within their club to keep existing players from going to the DA clubs.

I look at it the other way. maybe her mom is protecting her from burnout. Is she even in high school yet? Your acting like this kids soccer career is done because she doesnt want to be on a DA team. You dont have to be on the DA team to get to a top College. Arsenal has a player going North Carolina Rising has a player going to Stanford.

KC's Daughter according to the ECNL website is currently rostered on the PHX Rising 04 Team. As is another 04 who left mid year. Rumor is other 04's will be joining her next year.

    Lesser competition in ECNL?

That's pretty debatable, ECNL has been churning out the top girls players for years. BTW, I do not have a daughter in ECNL.

ECNL is lesser competition currently in the SW divisions.

I certainly would not make that claim as it relates to ECNL vs DA nationwide.

But go watch some SW ECNL games and then go watch some SW DA games. It is pretty apparent where the better teams are currently.
