How did the scrimmages this weekend go for Royals and Del Sol?

06 Royals beat Rising 06 3-1. I heard it wasn't even that close. Team is much improved from what I hear, also heard they were carrying a significant # of part timers on their roster.

We'll see how much improved they are when they play SCDS. Last season's match up wasn't close at all - all SCDS. Should be better this year, both teams have had off season pickups and a year under their belt.

05 Royals tied 05 Rising ECNL 1-1. Rising dominated the game while Royals played more direct.

06 Royals had five players from Vegas guest playing that were very fast and skilled. 06 Rising had field players in at the goalie position. Heard the Rising goalie got a concussion the day before.

Thanks! It's unfortunate that a SCDS and Rising 05 match up will never occur.

That's an interesting and surprising result.

Really? Why? At that age group Royals are the best. They have collected players now for some time. Most recently (last Xmas) they took Anna from Rising who used to be del Sol. Anna gets YNT camp call ups regularly. The rest of the team is good and they are deep. Rising doesn't have nearly as many horses at that age group

    At 04s

    Royals are the clear #1

Then we shall see Arsenal or Rising for 2 and 3. Last yr they played 1 time...rising won but it was evenly matched. Since then Anna moved from Rising to Royals. She was a major loss. Arsenal v Rising league match is Oct 4

Then del Sol #4. They have just lost so many players to Rising and Royals. 2 yrs ago before the migration they were probably the best 04 team. They beat the Royals. But then they exploded and 8-10 players left (almost all starters)

Did Rising lose more of the 04s that came from Del Sol over to RSL?? I am suprised, Rising was very good last year but I guess we never saw them play against each other. Maybe the competition at that age group in ECNL wasn't at the same level as the DA was last season. I wish ECNL kept historical records. Bodes well for RSL in that age group. They were middle of pack in the DA last season. Good on them for getting Anna over (she's a terrific player, and an 05 to boot).

Royals 04 is solid all around. They have some seriously kick-ass defenders and their goalie is outstanding. Last year they picked up a very strong forward who changed their play up top, and now a dynamic midfielder. That being said, the team was strong even before these additions.

You can still get historical records for DA:

    http://www.ussoccerda.com/sam/standings/league/

You used to be able to get to the ECNL games from last season, but after the website name change it is no longer available:

    https://www.eliteclubsnationalleague.com/southwest-conference-schedule-2019-20/

I know Rising 04s were #2 in the SW division before COVID. Fr0m the DA link above, Royals were #8.

I did not watch the game. This information was from 03 Rising parents. If you saw the game, please let us know your interpretation of the game.

There were 3 04 starters that originally came from Del Sol to Rising, then left to join the Royals.

I've never seen the 04 Rising team play but know the talent that left SCDS to go there last year. Not surprised they were at the top of their conference. I know some have since moved on to RSL, which may have been the deciding factor. Maybe they had absent players this past weekend for whatever reasons.

The SCDS 04 team hasn't recovered since their departure, hopefully they've been able to leverage the HS reversal to gain some talent back. For this year anyway, looks like the girls talent remains firmly entrenched on the GA teams. Looking forward to some rematches between Royals and SCDS.
