It should be Tuzos. The APL last year was a joke with teams in it (Arsenal for example) who had no business being there. Restricting to 6 is BS.

Tuzos won State Cup where all the best 05 teams played - obv. excluding ECNL - so they should get it above everyone else TBH. Del Sol have it as APL winner.

That would the correct thing to do ... so that probably won't happen then.

For 07G, it looks like ASA got it right last year. Seven of the top nine teams (according to youthsoccerrankings.us) were in APL - Arsenal played up a year and Southern AZ Wright played in PCJSL. ASL1 and ASL2 were pretty close to being correctly assigned too, with only West Valley Iler being out of place (they were placed in ASL2, but ended the year ranked higher than all the ASL1 teams).

I don't think you can rely only on the previous year's division and record to place teams for the next year - there's too much turnover year to year. That's why they take input from the coaches and have a committee decide. If teams didn't change every year, promotion / relegation would be great, but that's just not the case (not to mention DA / ECNL and playing up). For example, take 07G GYSA Mack. They were a solid APL team last year, but (as I understand) most of their players and their coach are gone this year. They should be allowed to ask for a lower division.

I only analyzed 07G (that's DD's group), but I'd be interested if others familiar with other groups analyzed them. And don't use GotSoccer, use youthsoccerrankings.us.

Are you talking Tuzos 06 in APL or Tuzos 05?

What happened to the whole 6-6-6 teams in app, asl1, and asl2? Enough complaints and they crack just like that?????

06B for one............somebody who knows somebody at AYSA must have gotten their feelings hurt..........at a minimum 2 of the teams moved into the bracket have zero business being there.

    Wow! Interesting...
Looks like the same is true for the 05's as well.

My guess is that they are referring to RSL AZ NORTH 06 B GRAEFE and AZ Inferno 06 Boys Black.

The 06s is a bit crazy - others could be too I guess but haven't checked. RSL has 7 teams in APL/SL1/SL2, out of 16, with 4 of 10 in SL2.

Their top team will be DA and second will be ECNL, so these are their 3rd and down teams.

I would think that there's a handful of clubs starting to dictate what happens to ASA.

Why is there a 06G team waiting to get into SL2 for 07G? I know teams can play up, but a team playing down?

    WAITING LIST
    RSL-AZ RSL-AZ 06G Doug
    RSL-AZ South RSL-AZ South 07 Girls Wood

Does not fill me with confidence on the accuracy of these lists

Was probably a team that played up and was able to fill out an 07 roster this season but had not changed name in gotsoccer or amended their application after original submission.

I find it funny 2 teams from the 04s who finished last and second to last were accepted over teams that finished higher than them.

Getting the feeling many of the ASL2 groups will be getting larger.

Yep. I’m sure it’s a typo. Doug Shank has the 1st and 2nd RSL North 07 teams this season

Does Inferno even have a legitimate team? Those 06 coaches should take a good long look in the mirror and stop pretending to be “coaches”. I think saying a team is in “advanced league” gassed up these coaches. Asa really needs to take this serious and kick some of these teams out. It’s starting to be a joke.

Which teams were left out that you are referring to?

This is a joke. Make one league with multiple flights and be done with it.
